When you're looking at a new role, think 'Will this job move me a step closer to my goal'? If not, pass on it. If it's not helping you work in your preferred industry, or in your preferred style, then you're just treading water. Does the company offer the right type of work with the right type of colleagues? If so, this could be better than the job that offers the bigger rate.
